The University has also signed up in India for student exchange agreements supported by $200,000 of funding and valued at more than $1.8 million which are for Outstanding Students for India These new scholarships will be for undergraduate students & postgraduate female students across all Macquarie courses.
The Macquarie International Women’s Scholarship for PG female students is aimed at improving the affordability of Masters degree from Macquarie University. The scholarship will be provided for up to $11,000 in tuition fees for PG female students and for Undergraduate Scholarships upto $17,000 (academic session commencing in 2017).for the full duration of the course
Nicole Brigg, Pro Vice-Chancellor, International of Macquarie university said they are excited to launch this scholarship program.
The University has also joined with three leading institutions in Indian to offer scholarships and grants are valued for more than $200,000 to exchange and PG students from these institutions.
Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi, The Tata Institute of Social Science University, Mumbai and St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata are the 3 Indian institutions involved in the scholarship. As part of the agreement Macquarie University’s Faculty of Arts will offer a Merit Scholarship (which includes 50 per cent tuition fee to study a Masters course in University’s Faculty of Arts) as well as an Ambassador Scholarship (full tuition fee waiver for the exchange semester and a $5000 grant for living expenses. ) with two of each scholarship offered per institution. Both scholarships include the opportunity to work part-time and gain practical experience in Australia
