Australian Trade and Network Meetings at Hyderabad and Chennai
Queensland Government Trade and Network meetings were held on 4th and 5th of October, in Hyderabad. The Australian delegation team was headed by the Mayors of Brisbane and Ipswich along with other Australian Trades delegates. They met different construction companies to know how construction business is going ahead in Hyderabad. Many companies visited to have an exchange of technology between the two countries in the field of construction. They have signed up Hyderabad as a Sister City of Brisbane and Ipswich.
The Lord Mayor of Brisbane Mr. Campbell Newman, the Lord Mayor of Ipswich Mr. Paul Pissel and other Australia trades delegates met our Chief Minister Mr. K Rosaiah and discussed regarding our Government projects. Our Director, Mr. Dilip Nooney was also part of the delegation as he was invited by the Mayors of Brisbane and Ipswich to join their trade mission.
They have visited some of the major companies like Mahindra Satyam, AMR group and Nagarjuna group. On the final day of their visit, they have signed Sister City Agreement between Brisbane City Council, Ipswich City Council and Greater Hyderabad and the Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipality Mrs.Karthika Reddy, represented Hyderabad.
The Trade Mission after the meetings in Hyderabad visited Chennai and had a meeting with some of the leading construction giants and had an exchange of business proposals. During the visit, they all attended the IGBC conference (International Green Building Conference) and delivered some papers on the advanced technologies in the Construction field, which will help towards low carbon emission. The trade mission was conducted by Austrade (Australian Trade Commission) and Queensland trade. Some of the pictures of the meetings and the delegation are given bellow.
