South Australia has announced exemptions from English language requirements and work experience to a particular category of state nomination applicants.

Under the new scheme, high performing international graduates from public universities in South Australia, will be able to claim these exemptions, besides ‘financial requirement waiver’.

Such applicants will also have access to a more extensive list of occupations on either the State OccupationList or the Supplementary Skilled List.

However, applicants will still be required to meet the work experience and English language proficiency required for the skills assessment and registration.

To qualify to apply as a high performing graduate, an applicant is requited to be currently residing in South Australia. In addition, applicants must have completed one of the following qualifications at a South Australian public university in the last two years with the required Grade Point Average.

  • Ph.D. or Masters by Research.
  • GPA of 6.0 or above in a Masters by Coursework degree (following completion of a Bachelor degree in South Australia).
  • First Class Honours in a dedicated Honours year (following completion of a Bachelor degree in South Australia).
  • GPA of 6.0 or above in a Bachelor degree.

      Without IELTS it is tough to work in Australia , as even 457 work visa needs 5 bands minimum. but your skill is in high demand in Australia.

          They are bluffing you. 489 visa is a skilled migration visa and IELTS is mandatory. Try to use only registered migration agents for your application so that they cannot bluf you and your application will be in the safe hands

    I am having 6 Years experience in Networking Domain and also IELTS General Training band is 6.0 ( L-6.0, R-6.0, W-5.5, S-6.0).

    I know, it is very difficult to get the job offer over there when we are applying from INDIA, so I would do MS in Australia.

    So please suggest me some normal college with a low annual fee. So by that time I will get some knowledge over Australia and get some points that can raise my CRS points.

      With out IELTS you cannot apply for a work visa as per the new changes. You have experience as which type of Architect. To be very precise , Indian Architects (civil) qualifications are not accredited in Australia.

    I have completed MBA (Finance) and got total work experience of 6 years and 10 months in customer relationship/ management field for US customers.

    Im willing and trying to get PR work permit for Australia from past 3 years. I wrote IELTS General Training upto 4 times till now and the band is 6.0 every time i wrote ( L-6.0, R-5.5, W-5.5, S-7.0). Trying for band 7.0 still not working it out.

    I am having 3.5 years of experience in software Industry. I am a developer so I tried applying for PR and so taken IELTS but it ended up so badly. I got a total score of 6.5.So is there any possibility to apply for other visas to Australia?
    P.S:I have my brother-in-law who got PR and would like to know whether it would help.

My husband is currently working under the Ministry of Interior Sharjah Polie as a Paramedic/ rescuer/ ambulance nurse since 2004. And I am currently working as a Secretary.
