Working holiday scheme countries
The Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417) described bellow is available to nationals of countries that participate in the Working Holiday Program with Australia. The current list of eligible countries is:

| Canada | France | Ireland | Republic of Malta |
| Cyprus, | Germany | Republic of Italy | Netherlands |
| Estonia | Hong Kong SAR | Republic of Denmark | Norway |
| Sweden | Taiwan | United Kingdom |
The Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) described is similar to the visa subclass 417 but is available to a different range of countries and rules and eligibility criteria vary between each of the countries involved in the Work and Holiday program. The current list of eligible countries is:

| Chile | Iran | Thailand | United States of America |
